National Park of the East (La Altagracia)

We visit the National Forest mainly for riding our dirt bikes. It's always just serene and beautiful. The views from the higher elevations are magnificent.

Great place to camp and or hike.

An absolutely gorgeous forest in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. I went to Mount Cheaha and the views were immaculate. The trails weren't difficult and it is fun weather in winter, summer or anytime in between. Highly recommend.

Loved our visit here. We had a great time climbing this mountain in car and on foot. Just what we were looking for. Great view, waterfalls, natural rock stairs, and a nice workout. Beautiful!!!

We went to Shepards Branch shooting range in the Talladega National Forest. It is a nice place to shoot. Bring your own targets and clips or staples to hang them. The road in is beautiful but I recommend taking a truck or suv since it's gravel with some washout. Worth the drive.

Section 4 of the pinhoti done in a three day weekend with a 9 year old. Very little water on the section so make sure you plan accordingly. Beautiful scenery and gray views. Even though the trail had signs says there is a shelter there isn't. Lots of spots to hang hammocks or pitch a tent though.

Great place. Me and my wife took the kids and their friends to Talladega creek in Talladega national forest,had a great time. We played in the cool creek and had a good picnic. We all need to get our kids in the outdoors, and off of their devices. ????????…

There's so much to do out here. Whether you want to go cruising around, hiking, hunting, climbing, horseback riding, camping, or site seeing, this place offers it all. It's beautiful out here.

This is the Talladega Blue Hole. Been coming here since I was a teen. Too bad so many know about it now. Watch out for glass in the sand!! But it is one of my most favorite places in the world.it is a littles swimming/fishing spot. Water fall and stream.

Awesome spot! Cheaha state parks got great views and trails. A handful of waterfalls nearby too. Closest town is 30 minutes. Aniston. It's a nice town though. A little tight for a motorhome but very doable. Full hook ups and pull through available at a reasonable price.

Fantastic hiking trails that are very quiet and well maintained. Blue markers on trees show that you are on the right path and help you know you're going the right direction.

When you're in the mountains, you're in nature. I feel free and in awe of everything around me.

The beauty of nature. Hiked all day and didn't see a soul. So peaceful. Unless you're afraid being alone with your thoughts then this is the place for you.

My wife and I spent about 4 hours just driving gravel/dirt roads within the forest. 4-wheel drive is recommended on some of the roads. Some areas are very isolated. We were about 2-3 hours in before we saw another human. Great views. We are going to make it a point to go back when the leaves change colors this Fall.

Wonderful place to bring the family for a great weekend of camping and any other outdoor activities.

Has beautiful views. Nature is always comforting and you can rough it or stay at the lodge. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful impressive sceneries. Hiking the Pihoti Trail is a great way to discover and to begin to explore the Talladega National Forest.

Beautiful area with lots of good hiking but I did get chased by wasps and it was super hot so that drops it to a 4/5.

Awesome drive up Highway 281! Beautiful views, perfect pavement and lots of corners make for a memorable drive.
